Happy summer!

Recent Updates

Today marks my first full day off the faculty at Northeastern University. It was a magnificent 10-year journey, the best professional opportunity of my lifetime so far. I began starry-eyed on July 1, 2014…. and am beyond proud of the work we did together. While this is an ending of sorts, I am not leaving my passion for teaching and mentoring young people behind. As of today, I begin a new chapter as a part-time law professor at Vermont Law School.

I completed my engagement with Jane Doe, Inc. It was an incredible experience to see first hand policy being made and pushed forward. I am honored to have worked on a multi-court listening project and the Act to Prevent Abuse and Exploitation which added language around coercive control and revenge pornography to the Massachusetts Statute. Governor Healey signed the Act into law on June 20, 2024. I testified in support of this bill last September.

YouTube Channel Launch

I am starting my own YouTube channel to respond to pressing legal cases in the media. This was a community effort. Produced by the amazing Roger and intro music by our sweet friend, Benjamin Yang. He described it as sassy, smart, and modern, like me. I will take the compliment! I would love your subscription and feedback!

New Work

I have been hired for two civil cases as an expert. This work has been surprisingly fun and fulfilling.

I have met so many incredible people through the podcast's live events. One of these connections led to a recent contract with a national nonprofit to revise its training curriculum. This work is thrilling because it marries my love of curriculum development, training, and some travel.

The podcast is evolving in new and exciting ways. Our live events continue to awaken our senses. So far in 2024, we have held live events in Boston, DC, and Pittsburgh. Personal Updates

I have an amazing teenager who just celebrated her 13th birthday. We currently have two big girls at sleepaway camp and a unicorn princess who already had three birthday parties and two more planned for herself.
